1930’s Streamlined Moderne Art Deco Home Gets an Update

Designed by famed architect Henry Maloney in 1938, 1301 Lenox Drive is a streamlined Art Deco dream. It is the only single family residential home designed by Maloney, whose work also includes the Hotel Shelley, the Lafayette, and the Edwards Hotel. After years of neglect, the new owners worked with Kyle Evans Design to give the home the much needed facelift it deserved while preserving the architecturally significant design. The design seamlessly blends indoor and outdoor living to create a Floridian experience like no other.

The home felt very One-Of-A-Kind to us! It is completely nestled in lush landscaping and gives you the feeling of being at a private 5-star hotel bungalow. The interior design and decor mimics the Art Deco facade with terrazzo flooring, chrome furniture, crocheted curtains, and 60’s inspired wallpaper. Although the home in located in the heart of Miami Beach it is surrounded by palms giving it a secluded private oasis feel. We absolutely loved it!
